January and February

Hello everyone.
Our next meeting is Monday January 12th. 

Our second meeting of the month is January 26th and this is our annual Pinewood Derby race.  We bought car kits for the boys.  If your son did not get one yet, we will have them at the meeting on Monday.  We are planning to meet on Jan 26th at 6pm, since the racing can take a bit of time to complete.

We are tentatively planning a 'car building' party on Monday January 19th.  We will have the tools and supplies needed to make your car.  More details to follow.

Our first meeting in February will be Feb 9th.

Our second meeting will be Feb 23rd.  This will be our annual Blue and Gold Dinner.  For those unfamiliar, this is the anniversary month of the founding of Cub Scouts, so it is traditional to celebrate.  We are planning a pot luck dinner with the whole family invited.  More details to follow on this as well.

We are forming our plan for the USS Hornet overnight trip.  Please go to the Attendance spreadsheet and sign up.  The cost will be about $70 per person.  We will offset this for the Cub Scouts.  The exact amount has not been determined, but expect a subsidy of $20 to $30 for each Scout.  Everyone is invited, but siblings and adults will have to pay full price.
