Hi Everyone,
We are nearing the end of our Scouting year!
Our last two meetings are Monday May 8th 6pm at the Church, then May 22nd. We bridge the boys over to their next dens in a special ceremony on May 22nd. so please try to attend this fun event.
Our family camp-out in Chesebrough is on May 26th-28th. We will post a detailed list of camping equipment, information and driving directions at a later date. We will bring all the food and cooking equipment, but as a heads-up you will need re-usable plates and eating utensils and volunteers to bring a full propane tank (4 total required).
Day camp runs for one week June 19th-23rd from 9am-3pm and is held at Toro Regional Park. This camp requires some parent participation, in the past the parents have grouped together so they can share the responsibilities. Let me know if you are planning to go, and I will get the boys grouped together at the camp.
See you Monday,
Lucy.

point Lobos Hike. Sat 22nd
We have a hike set for Saturday the 22nd at "Point Lobos, set for a 1:00 pm start time.
Bring sun screen, and snacks, water. There is a lot of poison oak, so be aware.
It is a beautiful hike, if you have not done this one you will enjoy it a lot.
We are meeting at the first parking lot on the right after you enter the park. It is the area where the divers go so parking will be limited. You may need to park outside the park and hike in.
Walk along the road until you see the road fork, take the right fork down to the water, and that is where we start.
see you then.

Church paving project
Hello everyone,
We received the email
below from the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, the sponsor of our
troop.
Please read the message carefully and consider making a donation
to help repave the lower parking lot where many of us park for scout
meetings. The church provides our troop with a great deal of services and
they ask very little in return. This is an excellent opportunity for our
Pack to show our appreciation.
Here's some
suggested text for your email:
As Scout
families, we use the church parking lot where our meetings are held - and that
lot needs our help. Please donate to this project! Let's do our part. Here's
where you can get more information and donate: https://www.gofundme.com/patchthepotholes
The total cost of the new chip seal surface is $14,500. The whole
community that uses these facilities is raising $8,000 of that total. Please
help out - and share to your FB page. https://www.gofundme.com/patchthepotholes
The church thanks you. We, as Scout leaders, thank you.
Thank you for
sharing. We can do this!

NO meeting Monday April 10, calendar updates, and church policies
Hello everyone,
Because the Washington Union School district will be on spring break next week there will be NO Scout meeting Monday April 10.
Our next event will be a hike at Pt Lobos on Saturday April 22nd, tentatively scheduled for 1pm. We will provide more details soon, such as meeting location, etc.
Our next Scout meeting will be Monday April 24.
We have several new families in the Pack, so I wanted to remind everyone about some church procedures.
We are NOT ALLOWED in the preschool area. This area is near the bathrooms, and has a gate in front of it. Please do not go in there.
We are NOT ALLOWED in the outside preschool play ground area.
The chairs that are in the main area where we meet have been damaged some. There are special procedures that need to be followed when we set them up and put them back. Please talk to one of the Pack leaders for guidance with the chairs. We don't want to break them.
See everyone at Pt Lobos!

Memorial Day Family Camp “Chesebrough”
Memorial Day Family Camp “Chesebrough”
Hi All,
First, I apologize for not getting information out sooner,
and for not being clear about camping this year.
Camping for
2017 is on. We have our reservations, and are good to go for camping at Chesebrough.
If you received an invoice from the pack it is because you
said you wanted to go camping, and gave us the names of the persons you planned
on bringing.
If you have not signed up and would like too, we still have a few spots left, but we need you to sign up now. Please email me with your names and count of persons you want to go.

Aquarium Sat April 1st 6:30pm ish
Hi Pack 93 families,
If you are sleeping at the Aquarium this Saturday, please arrive at the main entrance between 6:30 and 7pm. If you arrive later I will leave your name with the roster at the door. We will probably be given an area to sleep in as a group. If not, I am going to head for the "outer bay" area. (take a right, up escalator, past the circular sardines, amazing jellies.. to the outer bay).
Bring an inflatable mattress or pad, sleeping bag and overnight essentials. Snacks, water and midnight treats! I am planning to visit First Awakenings opposite for breakfast in the morning and would love you to join me!
Please be aware you are responsible for your children, not your den leaders! Lets have a fun time. See you there.
Lucy.
