September 30 - Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)

Hi all!
Each year our scouting pack has the opportunity to include several overnight outdoor camping activities.  However, we need more trained leaders.  Would you be interested in helping out? 

Earn a BALOO certification and lead the way!

This certification:
* Allows us to camp in places other than the Boy Scout camping facilities in our area
* Includes an introduction to outdoor camping skills
* Trains BSA rules and policies to be followed on any Cub Scout campout

Who should attend BALOO? This training is for anyone, leaders and parents, who will be involved in planning or implementing a pack-level Cub Scout overnight event that includes camping. 

Thanks in advance for leading our boys by example!

Saturday September 16 - Marina Beach Cleanup (10-11 AM)

Reminder - Beach Clean Up This Saturday

Meet us in Marina and volunteer with Coastal Cleanup Day -  California State's largest annual volunteer event.

When:  10AM-11AM September 16th

Where:  Marina State Beach
              11 Reservation Road, Marina, CA 93933

Please wear your blue scout T Shirt if you have one, so we can easily find you!


We will have gloves, but please bring one or two small trash bags. 

Also bring sunscreen, hat, water and maybe a snack.

Beach Clean Up Day Sat Sept 16th at 10am

Beach Clean Up Day is this Saturday Sep. 16th 2017

We are going to work on the Marina State beach located at:

11 Reservation Road, Marina, CA 93933.

We are meeting at 10:00 am and will work until about 11:00 am. Please wear your blue scout T Shirt if you have one, so we can easily find you!

We will have gloves, but please bring one or two small trash bags. Also bring sunscreen, hat, water and maybe a snack.

Please check out the "Calendar" tab on the blog to view the events we have planned for the year. Pencil in any important outings your scout is interested in. Remember, you can take part in any or all weekend events.

Scouting is BACK!! Monday Sep 11th

Hello everyone,

Welcome back.  Hope you had a great summer.
Many thanks to Paul, Lucy, and Marilyn for their service at Back to School Night last week.

September quick update:

• Regular Scout meetings resume.
  Monday Sept 11th - Church of the Good Shepherd - 6pm.
  
• Are you a new Scouting Family?  Attend the New Parent Orientation. 
  Wednesday Sept 13th - Church of the Good Shepherd -  6pm.
  Parents only please.
  
• Beach Cleanup in Marina. 
  Saturday Sept 16th - More details to follow.
  
• Second meeting of the month
  Monday Sept 25th - Church of the Good Shepherd -  6pm
