Hello everyone,
I hope we all had a lot of fun at the Derby. I wanted to say, that even though Lucy
Said I did a lot, it would not have happened without the help of Lucy, Al,
Bryan, and Steve. So thanks you each of you as well to everyone that helped
clean up after, and especially to all the parents, and kids for bearing with us
as we stumbled through our first time with the new software.
Our next big event is the fishing at McAlpine Lake
on February 6th. We have a sign up sheet on the blog, and I was told
by the owner that not only will they have just stocked the lake before we come,
but if we get at least 15 boys and a parent for each then we will get a 15%
discount on our group fishing pass.
The fee is 15 dollars for kids and 20 dollars for adults. We
will do a group pass, at the gate. More
details on entering will follow once we get a better count. The gate opens at
7:00am.
Some good suggestions for bait are worms, and PowerBait. The
new trout will like the PowerBait, and lures best. If you are not coming until
later 9: or after, then worms will work better on the catfish.
The store at the lake does have some rods, and fresh worms.
I have the lake rules below and direction at the bottom.
